Program Overview:

It is so relaxing when the sun is out, the sea is calm and there is no current. Unfortunately, not every day is like this when we want to dive, even in Lanzarote! If you have a planned a weekend away or a dive holiday then you need to be equipped to deal with whatever mother nature throws at you.

The SSI Waves, Tides and Currents speciality will help you to safely enjoy your dives whatever the conditions. You will learn how to plan dives from shores when there are waves, understand the importance of the tides in reducing the difficulty of a dive, and how to manage currents—whether you’re returning to a fixed exit point or drifting along on a current dive.

Requirements:

• Minimum age: 12 years old
• Open Water Diver certification or equivalent
