Program Overview:

Diving with an underwater scooter, also known as a DPV (Diver Propulsion Vehicle), opens up a completely different way of exploring underwater. You can cover more distance, conserve energy and experience dive sites from a new perspective — all while learning to control the equipment safely and efficiently.

During the SSI Scooter / DPV Diving specialty, you’ll learn how to use a DPV correctly, maintain control and buoyancy while in motion, and apply the right procedures for safe and enjoyable dives with propulsion equipment.

• Open water dives: 2
