Independent Diving
Develop the skills, planning and self-reliance to dive more independently and responsibly. The SSI Independent Diving specialty is designed for experienced divers who want to increase their self-sufficiency underwater and dive with a higher level of preparation, awareness and confidence.
This is not about casually diving alone. It is about learning how to plan and conduct dives more independently, using the right equipment, procedures and mindset to manage yourself responsibly in the water.

Independent diving teaches you how to think ahead, prepare properly and become less dependent on others during a dive.
This specialty is also highly relevant for underwater photographers, experienced recreational divers, or anyone who wants to build a stronger sense of self-reliance underwater.

- Includes: 3 training dives, pony bottle rental and SSI Independent Diving certification
- Requirements: minimum age of 18 years, SSI Stress & Rescue, Deep Diving, Navigation and Night & Limited Visibility certifications (or equivalent experience)
- Not included: diving insurance and standard equipment rental
