Program Overview:

Statistically, in the majority of underwater accidents that occur, the main problem presented is due to the diver’s lack of knowledge or training.

The SSI Diver Stress & Rescue specialty will teach you how to react in potentially dangerous situations, as well as introduce the fundamentals of safety, whether you or your dive buddy are at risk. Proper preparation and a solid understanding of safety protocols can prevent many incidents.

This specialty not only helps to avoid accidents, but also equips you with the right skills and confidence to intervene when necessary. Safety, prevention and awareness are the pillars of this course.

It’s essential not only for recreational divers, but also a prerequisite to obtain the SSI Dive Guide certification.

It’s a challenging and physically demanding course, but for many, it’s also the most fun and rewarding!

Training Standards:

• Duration: 2–3 days
• 3 confined water sessions
• 3 training dives
• Digital learning materials
• SSI Diver Stress & Rescue certification

Requirements:

• Minimum 12 years old
• SSI Open Water Diver certification or equivalent
• SSI React Right certification or equivalent (including First Aid, CPR, O2 and AED)

Not Included:

• Equipment rental
• Diving insurance
• SSI React Right certification (if not already obtained)
