Lanzarote, like many other dive areas has its own Blue Hole. Located to the west of the Cathedral dive site further along the reef wall, the Blue Hole is a natural funnel through the reef. Starting at around 20 metres at the top down to just below 30 metres at the bottom the Blue Hole is another of Lanzarote’s must see dive sites.
In addition to the Blue Hole itself there is also a small cave nearby that is home to a mass of small shrimps. The wall that wraps around the reef has many small caverns that can also be explored. On your return from the Blue Hole you can dive along the harbour wall. This shallow area is ideal for extending your dive time and is a good place to see cuttlefish and quite often sting rays and Angel sharks frequent this area.
