Try Scuba Diving

From: 95 €

The SSI Try Scuba Diving Package is a half day programme that allows you to experience the wonder of being underwater. Starting at 9 in the morning your instructor will begin by explaining to you how your scuba equipment works, and some of the basic dive theory and safety procedures that you need to be aware of. Once you are familiar with your dive gear, you next put on your dive wetsuit and check out your fins and mask ready to enter the water.

Once you have completed your try dive you will be awarded your SSI Try Scuba Diving Card. With this card you can make subsequent supervised dives with an instructor to a maximum depth of 12 metres. In addition if you decide, as many people do, that you want to continue on to become a qualified Open Water diver we will deduct the cost of your try diving package from the price of the Open Water course.

Day at Punta Tiñosa

(Full-Day beginner experience)

From: 150 €

This SSI Basic Diver program offers a fantastic experience that goes beyond a simple introductory dive. On your second dive, you’ll have the chance to dive from a boat to a maximum depth of 12 meters, exploring the incredible volcanic lava topography of Punta Tiñosa, surrounded by marine life.

It’s a spectacular dive that you can enjoy without needing to be a certified diver.

During the first session of the course, under the guidance of one of our instructors, you’ll learn the basic concepts of diving, understand how to use the equipment, and enter the water for a shore dive. Here, you’ll practice various diving skills to gain confidence underwater. During this initial dive, you’ll have the opportunity to see schools of fish and other marine life while honing your buoyancy skills.

After a break to rest, and following the dive briefing and equipment preparation, you’ll board one of our boats with your instructor. A short 10-minute journey will take you to the dive site: Punta Tiñosa.

At the end of the day, you’ll receive your SSI Basic Diver certification in digital format. This temporary certification allows you to dive in conditions similar to your training, to a maximum depth of 12 meters, under the direct supervision of a professional diver.

The certification is valid for six months, during which you can also credit your experience towards becoming an Open Water Diver and receive a discount on the course price.
