Diver Stress and Rescue
Learn vital rescue skills
Program Overview:
Most diving incidents can be avoided long before they become emergencies. Recognising stress early, staying aware of your surroundings and responding calmly are some of the most valuable skills any diver can develop. The SSI Diver Stress and Rescue specialty teaches you how to recognise stress, prevent problems from escalating and respond more effectively if a situation develops for you or your dive buddy.
This course is built around prevention, awareness and controlled action. It helps you become a more prepared diver — not only in emergencies, but in everyday diving as well.
It’s one of the most valuable specialties for recreational divers and also an important prerequisite if you plan to continue toward professional-level training such as SSI Dive Guide.
It can be a challenging course, but it is also one of the most rewarding — because the skills you gain can improve every dive you do afterwards.
