Quiquere Wrecks
Just outside the old harbour in Puerto del Carmen, several small wrecks offer an exciting and varied dive experience.
The best-preserved wreck is particularly unusual: when the new harbour wall was built, the remains of a fishing boat were incorporated directly into the structure.
The wreck lies on the reef at around 18 metres and is accessible to many certified divers.
Below the reef, at around 30 metres, you’ll find the remains of several other boats.
This cluster of wrecks creates a fascinating dive area for those who enjoy exploring underwater history and structure.
For more experienced and advanced divers, the different wreck areas can be combined into one particularly rewarding and varied dive.
For true wreck enthusiasts, it is also possible to arrange a full day of diving that includes both the two Kikiri wrecks outside Puerto Calero and the wrecks in Puerto del Carmen.
