Punta Tiñosa

Punta Tiñosa is just a short 5-minute boat ride from either Puerto Calero or Puerto del Carmen, making it one of the most accessible boat dives in the area.

The site unfolds in three distinct depth levels, stretching southwards along the volcanic reef.

The first level, between 6 and 12 metres, is known as “the garden.”

Here, hundreds of volcanic formations line the drop-off, creating an almost otherworldly underwater landscape of pinnacles, bubbles and lava walls.

The second level descends to around 18 metres and consists of sandy terraces, where rays and electric rays are often seen.

The third and deepest level reaches down to 35 metres.

Here, a long reef wall is covered in colourful anemones and sponges, creating shelter for a rich variety of marine life.

The drop-off also hides small surprises, including caverns and tunnels waiting to be explored.
