Known locally by several names, including Pecios and Punta Berrugo, this is one of the most popular and varied dive areas in Playa Blanca.

The site offers so much variety that it is often divided into two separate dives: Pecios Nuevo and Pecios Viejo.

Here you can visit a small cave inhabited by resident moray eels or explore the remains of two small fishing boats that sank in the area.

One of the highlights of the area is the number of small swim-throughs and crevices found throughout the reef.

Wherever you go, you are likely to encounter large schools of bream and barracuda, and it’s always worth checking beneath the reef ledges for rays.
