Just outside of the old harbour in Puerto Del Carmen there are a number of small wrecks that can be explored by divers. The most complete wreck provides a very unusual site for divers as when the new harbour wall was constructed the wreck of a fishing vessel was incorporated into the wall. The wreck sits on the reef at around 18 metres and can be explored by all divers.
Just below the reef at around 30 metres there are the remnants of many other boats. This graveyard of wrecks is a fascinating area for those who love to delve into the remains of old boats. For more experienced and advanced divers the two sets of wrecks together make for a great dive. For addicts it is also possible to arrange a wrecks day visiting the two kikiri wrecks just outside of Puerto Calero as well as those in Puerto del Carmen.
