Your introduction to Cavern Diving

Program Overview:

The SSI Extended Range Cavern Diving program gives you a small glimpse into the exciting world of cave diving. As an SSI Extended Range Cavern diver, you will learn how to use cavern diving equipment, gas management concepts, and buddy team skills to safely conduct cavern penetration dives. The program trains you to dive in caverns within the daylight zone to a maximum depth of 40 meters.

This course can be completed in either a Backmount, Sidemount or CCR configuration (Extended Range Foundations, Extended Range, Extended Range Sidemount and/or CCR Diving certification is needed if you wish to use any of these configurations).

Duration:

  • 2 – 3 Days

  • 1 confined water session
  • 4 training dives
  • Digital learning materials
  • SSI Extended Range Cavern Diving certification

Does Not Include:

  • Equipment rental
  • Diving insurance

Requirements:

  • Minimum 16 years old
  • Minimum 24 logged dives
  • Have the certifications for SSI Open Water Diver or equivalent
  • Valid medical certification from within the last year (no self-certification accepted)
