Established in 2002 Rubicon Diving was the first business to open in the new Marina Rubicon. We have been welcoming divers for 17 years and many of our early customers are still returning to dive with us. Since opening Rubicon Diving has expanded to become Lanzarote’s leading dive operator. In addition to our original Marina Rubicon base we now have two more dive centres. The first is located at the Hotel Sandos Papagayo in Playa Blanca and the second at the Costa Calero Hotel in Puerto Calero. Each of our dive centres is purpose built with all the facilities you need for a great dive experience on site. Come dive with us and experience for yourself what makes us Lanzarote’s number one dive operator.
The main dive centre is located right by the Marina Rubicon pontoon where two of our three dive boats are permanently moored. Our other boat is located at the Puerto Calero marina. This means we are able to offer the widest range of dive sites of any dive operator on the island. Our boat dives mean there is no need for you to carry heavy equipment, clamber over rocks or queue for a shore dive. Just enjoy the ride to your dive site, rollback into the water, have fun and be glad you chose to dive with Rubicon Diving!
We dive every day of the year except christmas day and new years day. We dive at sites in Playa Blanca and Puerto Del Carmen that are suited to both novice and advanced divers. We also dive the amazing Museo Atlantico every day of the week. All our prices are fully inclusive with no hidden charges for boat dives or equipment hire. Nitrox is available for certified Nitrox divers at a cost of €2.50 per dive. As an official Mares, Aqualung and APEKS partner dive centre there is no need to bring your own dive gear we have everything you need.
Rubicon Diving is a registered SSI Instructor Training Facility. All of our instructors and guides are SSI trained. We are the only dive centre on the island to have two SSI Instructor trainers on site. We provide training right through from your first try scuba dive to certified open water, technical diving and Professional Instructor Training. We can provide dive training in six different languages as well as underwater photography courses right through from simple point and shoot to advanced DSLR.
For the more advanced divers Rubicon Diving also offers courses in open circuit technical, sidemount and rebreather diving. We offer courses right through from your first technical dive to training as a technical dive instructor. In support of our technical diving we have two fully qualified gas blending technicians on-site. We use only medical grade oxygen and premium helium when preparing our gases for normoxic and hypoxic diving.
