The Shark Point dive site is part of the large reef that runs between Twin Pipes and Atlantis to the west and to Punto Berrugo to the east. Shark Point is towards the middle of this reef just out from Las Lenguas. The reef at this point is typified by a low reef wall with many small ledges under and a series of small points jutting out from the main reef.

The dive site lies at around 18 to 20 metres and there are many shoals of fish that sit just outside the reef wall. Typically found here are large shoals of bream and barracuda. It is possible to get very close to these shoals which do not seem to be bothered by divers. Depending upon the tide and current this is also a very good area for drift diving with the possibility of drifting east to the area of Punto Berrugo or west to twin pipes.
