Rubicon Diving’s second dive centre in Playa Blanca is located within the Sandos Papagayo Beach Resort about 3km east of Marina Rubicon. The Sandos Papagayo resort is one of Playa Blanca’s premier hotels. Rubicon Diving is proud of its close association with the Sandos Papagayo Beach Resort. With our satellite dive centre based here the resort provides a perfect location for couples or families interested in diving or learning to dive.
The hotel has 3 large swimming pools that we can use and our dive centre’s location also has direct access to the beach. This means that the Sandos dive centre is perfect for both the pool and confined water dives that are part of the Try Scuba Diving, Scuba Review and Open Water courses. Our staff at the hotel can also arrange night dives from the beach and kids pool sessions and Scuba Ranger activities in one of the hotel pools.
The only time that you have to leave the hotel for your diving is when you want to dive from the boat as part of your course or on one of our guided dive excursions. For divers staying at the resort we provide free transport to and from the Marina Rubicon dive centre.
If you want to try something new why not join one of our snorkel safaris from the beach or for the more adventurous why not try stand up paddling or freediving. We are also hoping to introduce kayaking from the beach in the near future.
